SoIar PV

Solar PV has fast become a popular way to both generate money through investment and generate power from a proven renewable source. We're one of the best known Solar PV installers in Bristol and Bath!

Business Electrical have installed many grid connected domestic Solar PV installations typically 8 to 16 panels up to 4kw/p and also larger 50kw/p ground mount systems of 200 panels and above. To date a total of over 1.5MW.

We're also soon to be OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) registered! If you're thinking about buying an electric vehicle, why not get in touch!
Where grid connection is not relevant we can help design, spec and install battery based systems to provide power for boats/sheds/tree houses that need their own own source of energy.

We also offer testing, inspection and maintenance of existing PV systems. An investment in Solar PV has ongoing future benefits and these are safe guarded by routine maintenance and cleaning. Electrical testing ensures systems are running soundly and efficiently and is a useful check that systems are performing as well as expected.

All our test equipment is industry standard and fully calibrated at all times.

Energy Conservation

The environmental and financial impact of our energy use is becoming more and more relevant as fossil fuels deplete, electricity prices continue to rise and stricter legislation comes into force to compel individuals and companies alike to consider their impact.

Saving energy effectively is at the forefront of considerations for our new installation designs.

Converting older filament light source lamps such as halogen down lights, spot lights and flood lights (that expend up to 90% of their energy consumption as heat rather than light) to the latest LED technology will easily cover the initial investment. A 5 watt LED  downlight can produce the equivalent light output (lumens) of a 50 watt halogen lamp! The life expectancy of LED lights is also much greater with many lights now offering up to 50,000 hours life rather than the 2-3,000 hours typical of a halogen lamp.
